More of the Collective

Flexibility for Every Journey
Learning doesn't end when the school day does. Our additional programs extend the values, relationships, and educational philosophy of The Children's Collective through after-school care, summer experiences, and homeschool support, giving families flexible ways to stay connected to our learning community.

After School Care
Our after-school program provides a calm, thoughtfully designed environment where children can unwind, connect, and continue learning after the school day ends. With intentionally small groups, students receive individualized attention while building friendships across ages in a warm, community-centered setting.
We currently provide transportation from Sonia Sotomayor Elementary, Laura B. Wilder Elementary, Susan B. Anthony Elementary, Rosa Parks Elementary, and John F. Kennedy Elementary.
Each afternoon includes a healthy snack, outdoor and free play, arts and creative activities, homework support when needed, and opportunities for exploration, games, and meaningful connection. More than childcare, our after-school program is an extension of The Children's Collective; where curiosity, creativity, and community continue long after the school bell rings.

Summer Camps
Summer at The Children's Collective is designed to be more than childcare—it is a season of exploration, creativity, friendship, and discovery. Each summer is built around a unique, immersive theme that inspires children to ask big questions, explore new ideas, and engage in meaningful hands-on experiences.
Our intentionally small groups provide the flexibility to follow children's curiosity while creating opportunities for individualized support, lasting friendships, and unforgettable adventures. Through arts, outdoor exploration, STEM challenges, service learning, field trips, guest experts, physical activity, and project-based learning, every day offers new opportunities to create, investigate, and grow.
Research consistently shows that children learn best when they are actively engaged in meaningful experiences. Our program is intentionally designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, collaboration, resilience, leadership, and problem-solving while preventing summer learning loss through
authentic reading, writing, mathematics, and enrichment woven naturally into each day.
Every week, students can expect to:
- Explore meaningful questions connected to the summer theme.
- Create hands-on projects and works of art.
- Participate in outdoor adventures and field experiences.
- Build friendships through games, recreation, and teamwork.
- Engage in service projects that strengthen our community.
- Read, investigate, and continue developing academic skills.
- Learn from guest speakers and community experts.
- Discover new passions through creativity, exploration, and play.
At The Children's Collective, we believe summer should be a time to play boldly, explore deeply, and create lasting memories. Our goal is to ensure every child returns home each day with new experiences, new friendships, and a continued love of learning—ready to embrace whatever adventure comes next.
